Description

A new upgrade in the LaserWriter line, the LaserWriter Pro 600 had a Motorola 68030 processor running at speeds of 25Mhz.  It had a maximum RAM of 32MB.  It used the PostScript Level 2 interpreter and PCL 4+.  Communication options included LocalTalk, Serial and Centronics Parallel.  It could print up to eight pages a minute with a DPI of 600.

The LaserWriter Pro 600 was a high-end addition to the LaserWriter line.  It was created for professional and business customers in need of high volume and working with large networks.
